Arrival in Dar es Salaam

Arrive at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam. Meet your tour representative and transfer to your hotel for check-in. Enjoy a relaxing evening with a safari briefing and dinner. Overnight stay in Dar es Salaam.

Flight to Kigoma – Transfer to Lake Tanganyika

After breakfast, board a domestic flight to Kigoma, the gateway to Western Tanzania. Upon arrival, enjoy a scenic boat transfer across Lake Tanganyika to your lodge in Mahale. Settle into your lakeside accommodation surrounded by pristine nature and enjoy the views of the surrounding mountains and waters.

Chimpanzee Trekking in Mahale Mountains National Park

Start the day with a guided trek into the Mahale Mountains, one of the best places in the world to observe wild chimpanzees.     It is a great place to shop not too far from New York. We took the bus from Port Authority and traveled through the countryside to get there.

    We always stay at here when in town. The location is great, staff is wonderful and we love the overall feel. Beautiful view from the here.
