Tour Plan
Arrive in Tanzania and meet your guide. Overnight stay at a comfortable hotel. Final prep for the western adventure.
Take a domestic flight to Kigoma. From there, board a boat across Lake Tanganyika to your lodge near Mahale Mountains National Park. Overnight on the lakeshore.
Embark on your first chimpanzee trek with park rangers. Track these incredible primates through the dense rainforest and observe them in their natural habitat. Return for lakefront relaxation.
Optional second chimpanzee trek or guided forest walk to spot birds, monkeys, and butterflies. In the afternoon, visit a local fishing village along the lake.
Enjoy the clear waters of Lake Tanganyika—kayaking, swimming, or simply relaxing. Evening storytelling around a campfire.
Boat ride back to Kigoma and fly to Arusha or Dar es Salaam. Transfer to your lodge for rest or optional evening activities.
Transfer to the airport for your onward flight or extend your stay to another Tanzanian destination (e.g., Zanzibar or Serengeti).
